Benefits of Grapeseed Oil

Grapeseed Oil has many health benefits especially for your skin.

Grapeseed oil is made from cold pressing grape seeds and is essentially odorless and tasteless.  Due to this, grapeseed oil is used in many skin and hair products ranging from lip balm to body and facial creams.

Grapeseed oil contains antioxidants known as procyanidolic oligomers (PCOs) and are known to be more powerful than Vitamins C and E and polyphenols which helps slow our skin’s aging process.

It is also very high in linoleic acid (73% vs Olive Oil at 10%).  Linoleic acid is an Omega 6-fatty acid necessary for biological processes.

Grapeseed Oil contains anti inflammatory properties which help prevent your pores from clogging and thus helping prevent acne.  The oil is also a great moisturizer for all skin types.  It nourishes your skin without leaving a greasy feeling (quick drying); however, don't be fooled by how quickly it dries, because grapeseed oil does help retain moisture in your skin as well.

Besides your skin, grapeseed oil is also known to help with the body’s circulatory system and help reduce and relieve varicose and spider veins.  Definitely an oil worth keeping in your pantry!

Enjoy!
